FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where should we stay?
We require that all our guests stay at our host resort Moon Palace Jamaica. We want our wedding celebration to be a vacation experience for everyone and we'd love to spend some time with you outside the Wedding Day, be it at the pool, by sharing a few meals and drinks together or maybe even experiencing an excursion as a group. We have set aside a block of discounted rooms (minimum 4-night stay) at this resort and you must make your reservation through our travel coordinator MarieSam, or you will be required to pay a fee to attend any of our wedding events.

When should we arrive?
You've traveled all this way, so you might as well make a vacation out of it and join us as early as possible. Our room block is available from May 7 to 12, 2025. And the Wedding Day is on Friday, May 9th. We recommend that you arrive at least 2 days before the Wedding Day. But please come and stay as long as you'd like -- all reservations made in our group must be aat least a minimum of 4 nights.

What should I wear to the wedding?
Please dress in semi-formal attire, although suit and tie formal is not required. Think beach chic elegance -- we want you to be comfortable, but no flip-flops or board shorts please!

What do we do about transportation in Jamaica?
Roundtrip airport shuttle transportation is included with your stay via shared shuttle service from Montego Bay Airport to our host resort (or Ocho Rios Airport). If you would like any private transfers or to plan an off-site excursion, please ask our travel coordinator MarieSam for information and assistance on that request.

Do we have to stay at the wedding resort? Can we stay somewhere else and still attend your wedding?
All guests must stay at our host hotel to attend our wedding celebration. If you are not staying at Moon Palace Jamaica, you will be required to pay a visitor's fee to attend our wedding ceremony and reception for the day. IMPORTANT: In addition, if you book a reservation at the hotel but do NOT book through the group block we have contracted, you will be required to pay a $125 per person fee just to participate in our wedding day festivities. We kindly ask all our guests to book using our agent who has established the lowest possible rate for our group to stay at the resort.

Are children invited to the wedding?
Our wedding will be a family-friendly celebration. Please feel free to bring your children -- we want our guests to make the best of their vacation and enjoy their time away. But if you prefer to attend the wedding day festivities without your kids, our agent can also provide you with info on the professional babysitting service contracted by the hotel. As a bonus, we have secured an excellent promotion where children ages 17 and under at the time of travel stay for free with at least 1 paying adult in the room. Moon Palace Jamaica is an excellent family resort with so much to enjoy for guests of all ages. The resort also has an excellent kids club that offers supervised activities and programs for kids daily, with no extra charges.

What is the weather like? What should we pack for our trip?
Ocho Rios, Jamaica is typically hot and humid -- temperatures are usually in the high 80s to 90s. We recommend bringing light summer clothing and swimsuits. But also bring a light sweater for the evenings. Other helpful essentials include sunblock, mosquito repellent, water shoes, swim coverups, flip-flops, a light cap or hat, sunglasses, etc. Think beach vacation with beach elegant attire for the Wedding Day and beach chic attire for dinners on the other nights during your stay.
